After gathering at the Maverick on 8th north, the group headed up Provo Canyon and turned off on the Squaw Peak road. Instead of taking a right to the Squaw Peak overlook, we headed left on Squaw Peak road which eventually ends up in Hobble Creek Canyon. The first part of the trail was very dusty, just like all our open top rig drivers like, but became rocky shortly after Rock Canyon Campground. Just after the campground we were flagged down by 2 folks in a Range Rover that had torn open a sidewall on the rocky road. Our group all joined together helping with the tire swap, and Jensen even got to show off his Power-Tank air system.
After continuing on our trip we made a few stops to take in some awesome views, and check out the terraces cut into the mountains by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's, before coming out in Hobble Creek Canyon.
It was an awesome day on the trail with good weather and great friends.
