On Saturday(7/8/17), a group of us met up near Tibble Fork reservoir at 9:30 to install our adoption sign on FR085. We selected an install location shortly past the dirt parking lot and started digging. Despite hitting th
e water table and getting thoroughly covered in mud, we were able to get the sign installed quickly and headed up to run the Miller Hill trail.
The trail has become more difficult from past years, and gave the stock JKU and lifted Grand Cherokee a challenge in a few spots that lead to some undercarriage hits. A little while after reaching the top, having some lunch, and enjoying the view, it started to rain. Much to our surprise the rain changed into hail, and that caused the trail to turn very slippery for our trip back down.
We survived the trip down and went our seperate ways upon reaching camp. It was a very pleasant day on the trail with excellent views, lots of wildlife, and good company.
