Our group was informed that the Ogden/Logan Forest Service needed some assistance with maintenance on some of their trail systems, and so we volunteered to assist with a fencing project up the Inspiration Point trail. In addition to our group, there were representatives from the Salt Lake Off Road Expo, and a hunter group. Since the turnout was high, we split into two groups with the hunters working on the fence while the rest of us cleared overgrowth from the trail. It was interesting to see how some sections appeared to be wide enough for a single vehicle only, but after we cleared the overgrowth there was plenty of room for 2. The maintenance was definitely needed and will make the trail much safer for those who visit the area.
We also took the time to make a stop up at the Inspiration point overlook which has amazing views up at 9,000+ feet, and is definitely worth stopping by.
