Had another successful cleanup run in AF Canyon. As we headed up the FR085 trail we noticed an excess amount of trash at one of the first campsites along the route. Upon investigation we determined it had been abandoned as all the food was over a week past expired, tent was completely torn to shreds, trash was everywhere, etc... Unique to this trip was that the occupant(s) had built a wall in the river to make a pool. They then put their refrigeration type items in it. Despite the cold water, over a week in the open with plenty of sunlight took its toll on the eggs, milk, meats, etc... The smell was quite exquisite. Thankfully Mark Lay showed up to the clean up with his UTV with a utility bed on it, so we were able to pile all the trash into it and keep it outside of the vehicles. All trash in the pictures was from one site. Thanks again to everyone who made it out.
