The youth outdoor fair is held in Ogden each year, and its goal is to get kids interested in what the outdoors has to offer. You will often hear Troy(one of the organizers) state that if even one kid got off the Xbox that day to come to the event, then the event was a success. This year BOAR brought 2 roof top tent trailers kids could check out and play in, a 1948 Willys Jeep that users were allowed to sit in and take pictures, a propane campfire setup where folks could roast s'mores using Grubstick roasters, and of course our main booth filled with Crayons, trail information, and tread lightly materials. We also held a raffle where we gave away a Grubstick roaster, 2 trail tool bags, and everyone else received a Jeep grill key-chain. This is the second year of the event, and we are happy to see that it is bigger and better then before. We look forward to continuing to contribute to its success, and the education/inspiration of the younger generations.
