The DNR hosted a volunteer appreciation dinner that Coy, my wife, and I attended along with volunteers and members from various other clubs and areas of the state. These groups not only consisted of full-size 4x4 but also ATV, UTV, and single track users.
It was great to hear about all the projects and success stories everyone had throughout the year and to learn that between the trail host program, service projects, and miscellaneous work done by volunteers, everyone logged over 2000 hours!
Our club also was honored to receive special recognition from the DNR as Club Of The Year. This was very unexpected and very humbling to say the least.
I want to make sure everyone knows this would not have been possible without all the hard work and dedication you as members have put in over the year. It has been my privilege to work with such selfless and caring individuals during the various trainings, events, trail-rides, cleanups, and service projects.
I cannot thank you enough for donating your time, expertise, vehicles, etc.. to serve the community and preserve the areas we all love.
I look forward to what we can achieve together in 2018!
